Feed fish in moderation
Too much food can affect water quality. Only feed what the fish can eat within a short time.

Tip
Feed your fish in moderation and adjust the amount to what they actually eat. Uneaten food breaks down in the water and adds to the amount of organic material in the pond.
As it breaks down, nutrients are released and oxygen is consumed. This can put extra strain on the pond, especially in warm weather, as warmer water naturally holds less oxygen.
It is therefore better to feed smaller amounts and check whether the food is eaten within a few minutes. If food is regularly left uneaten, reduce the amount.
BIOGRO advice
Consider not only how many fish you have, but also their size, the water temperature and how much food they actually eat. Remove uneaten food and regularly check the water quality when feeding heavily. Proper feeding helps reduce the load on the pond system.
